A Vital Food Vision

An approach from the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nutrition therapy, the modern Western and the natural health food dietetics.

Food, together with the development of consciousness, social exchange, sufficient movement, rest and good breathing form the basics of well-being. They provide an important contribution to the maintenance of health and to the prevention of illnesses. However, it is more important that by means of food everyone can work on his own well-being and on the environment with which we are all connected.

Traditional Chinese nutritional science gives a clear and unique energetic description of food and digestion. It takes an individualistic approach based on experience focusing on people interacting with their environment. The diagnosis of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is about the individual constitution, condition en personal circumstances. It can provide direct insight into one’s personal life circumstances and possibilities.

Modern Western nutritional science is based on biochemistry and analysis, particularly at the micro process level. It concentrates on nutrient functioning and examines the digestive system at the cellular level. In recent decades the Western discipline of dietetics has revealed a great deal of important information.

Natural health nutritional science on the other hand, with its bio-energetic insights, contributes to a definition of vitality of whole, pure food. This natural health food approach also highlights the reciprocal connection of the consumer with the environment.
